Personal:

I am an able-bodied cis-gender woman of Indian heritage, child of immigrant parents, and social justice activist developing my understanding of what it means to be a settler. I continue to explore aspects of my identity and reflect on the role of intersectionality in my everyday life and with my clients.

Professional:

My professional experience includes working in private practice, adult inpatient mental health (2020-present), as well as hospital, hospice, long-term care, and community mental health settings (2017-2020). I am also an adjunct professor at Wilfrid Laurier University for the Master of Music Therapy training program (2022-present).

Training

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP #008008) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, a Gestalt psychotherapist and graduate of the Gestalt Institute of Toronto (2018-2023), a graduate of the Master of Music Therapy program at Wilfrid Laurier University (2016-2018), and a Certified Music Therapist (MTA #1051) with the Canadian Association of Music Therapists.

Approach:

My approach to music therapy and psychotherapy is person-centered, resource-oriented, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I first and foremost value the context(s) of your life, including your background, experiences, relationships, and everything that makes you you.
